2010 Astro Expeditions

July 11, 2010 - Total Solar Eclipse - Anaa Atoll - Day Trip

43 passengers (British, American, Australian, Italian, etc) with Astro Expeditions left Papeete, Tahiti at 4:50 in the morning and arrived at Anaa Atoll about 6A.M. We were greeted by friendly locals and RAIN. However, during sunrise the clouds dissipated. Transportation to a nearby beach was provided by the people of Anaa. The start of the Partial phase began about 7:19 a.m. local time. Totality began about 8:32 a.m. and lasted for 2 min 24 secs.
